I have no topic I plan to cover and I've been working on multiple poems all at once. Which is likely why none are where I personally want them to be. I'm hoping to reach that point soon.
Through pushing myself to constantly work on poems I have noticed what my creative process is and the direction I want to take life. If you think I'm going to share that now; you're probably the type of person that enjoys one night stands. You're going to have to warm me up to get the good stuff.
Back to the topic that isn't really a topic. I've also realized you can push yourself to the point you don't want anything to do with the things you enjoy. I then try to rethink my creative process in hopes to reinvigorate myself. Surprise I'm an over thinker.
The beauty in it is that I think about other people's opinions on life and can therefore change my own, specifically when I get pessimistic. What a double edged sword it can be.
This takes me to one of my favorite Andre Benjamin lines
"And I do think when you think too much, you're removing what's moving"
Kid Cudi - By Design ft Andre Benjamin
I say all of that to say sometimes in order for you to progress you have to fall back. Don't beat yourself up when the days aren't meshing together. Inspiration comes in all forms except in forms expected. So live and let life guide you.
